Prime Time

I remember watching “The Price is Right” as a kid and loving the Showcase Showdown.  These days, I don’t watch much game show TV except for when my family tries to catch “Wheel of Fortune” once in a while.  But I have to tell you, game shows continue to provide some of the funniest moments on TV.

It’s Friday, it was a good week and I’m not really in the mood to complain tonight.  Besides, I laughed so hard when I saw this video, so I had to toss it up here just for the heck of it.  It’s from “Jeopardy.”

The Question: A blow to the back of the head is the punch named for this animal?
The Answer: Rabbit Punch

What is a rabbit punch?  According to Wikipedia, it’s a blow to the neck or to the base of the skull.  It is considered especially dangerous because it can damage the cervical vertebrae and subsequently the spinal cord, which may lead to serious spinal cord injury or even death.

But how did the male contestant on Jeopardy answer?  LOL.  He said, “What is a donkey punch?”  Check out this 16-second clip here.  I’m sure all of you know what a donkey punch is and realize why he was so wong!

While I was at it, I grabbed a video of one of the biggest morons I could find from “The Wheel of Fortune.”  Check her out here.  And my other favorite was this guy from “The Price is Right.”  He comes within $1,000 of the actual retail price during the Showcase Showdown, so he wins both showcases and $1M.  Check him out here, as his reaction is absolutely hysterical.  Drop me a comment and enjoy your weekend.

To answer donkey punch is to know donkey punch! The Price is Right video was HILARIOUS!! I forgot Drew Carey took it over. It looks good and has the same vibe. 😛

  2. Jake says:

That Jeopardy video was hilarious. I loved how Alex quickly moved on.

And you’re probably going to get some “unique people” visiting your site for tagging donkey punch. LMAO.

  3. tera says:

Hahaha! I needed a laugh today (home w/migraine, ugh). I think some people just lose their brains on these game shows. The guy on Price is Right looks like he’s gonna barf. I bet he did and that’s why they didn’t show him again. 🙂

  4. Jen says:

Alex looked like he wanted to say “Are you serious?!?”

That guy dropped that girl like a hot potato then knee walked to his friends! Classic! I swear his one chubby friend looks like an actor but I can’t think of his name offhand – anyone?

I had no idea what a donkey punch is and now that I googled it I’m trying to erase it from my history so my 13 year old doesn’t see it! Thanks! No one even laughed at that one, so maybe the audience didn’t know either?

  5. The Constant Complainer says:

@Jake Absolutely…it seems that the word “boobs” attracts the most visitors to the site. The next best traffic driver is “Tiger Woods” believe it or not. So yeah, LOL, I can’t imagine what “donkey punch” will produce. Actually, I probably don’t want to know. Alexa ratings are strange sometimes.

@Jen Definitely clean out the computer history! LOL.

  6. Leo Nevoli says:

One of my favorite Price Is Right’s was the guy who kept bidding 420. He bid 420, then 1420, then 420 again. Even Bob had to smile as the guy bid.

  7. When he heard he had won I thought he was about to faint. Wow– I didn’t know the Price Is Right had a million dollar bonus.

  8. TallElf says:

That guy on the price is right needed some “OOOPS I crapped my pants”. Remember that skit? Any ways, good clips there. Especially the Donkey Punch. That’ll hang in the Jeopardy hightlight/low light reels for quite some time. Think about it, When was the last time that term was uttered on network tv? And it landed on Jeopardy.

  9. Oh my, my! People are hilarious.

BTW, the marathon was ok. I’m glad I did it. It was tough. I got Strep about 1.5 weeks before the race. Ugh. I don’t recommend it. 🙂
