Moron of the Week Award #9

August 3, 2009 by admncc

Hand down – Ryan O’Neal is this week’s “Moron of the Week Award” winner.

Words can not express what I was thinking when I heard this story on the radio earlier.  I couldn’t wait to get home and verify it.

Ryan O’Neal, Farrah Fawcett’s longtime lover, hit on his own daughter at Farrah’s funeral, because he didn’t recognize her…

Apparently, in an upcoming interview for Vanity Fair, O’Neal also talks about how he doesn’t speak to two of his children and questions if he was ever supposed to be a father or not.

Dude, you didn’t recognize your own daughter and hit on her?!?  I mean I agree that Tatum O’Neal is hot, but you’d think he would recognize her, not only because she’s his daughter – but because she’s a celebrity too!  Plus, um, you’re at your lover’s funeral…

Click here to view the LA Times story and initial report of O’Neal’s behavior.  Click here to read the Huffington Post’s article, which also contains a copy of the Vanity Fair press release on O’Neal’s story.  And click here to view US Weekly’s story which has a nice up to date photo of Tatum O’Neal (in case you don’t know what she looks like).  Maybe someone should send Ryan O’Neal a copy of her picture…

I don’t know about you, but I refuse to believe that he was so distraught that he didn’t even recognize his own daughter.  Is her a pervert or I am I way off?  You be the judge…

  1. Hollywood Gal says:

Pervert, no. Consummate lady’s man, maybe. But the timing was certainly in poor taste.

  2. Wow. What else is there to say? He was probably on something.

BTW, I don’t know if you’re interested, but I came across this ad on another blog and signed up for it. Its a link place where you put the link in you want to share and it gives you back a shortened link to use. Every time you use it and someone clicks on it you get paid some small percent. I just started two days ago and its already starting to add up. Anyone interested can go here

    RIP Farrah.

  3. Jane says:

He is nasty. At his lover’s funeral too. Oh, and those articles make him seem like the father of the year.

  4. Hum…you think he could at least wait until the meal at the church afterwards. 😉

  5. Sugar says:

    That’s just wrong, lol.

  6. NeoConDon says:

It’s very common for the greiving family to be on sedatives, so it’s likely that he wasn’t of sound mind…

  7. Dan says:

NCD, maybe he’s a womanizer. There’s an answer better than sedatives. Do you really believe what you just wrote?

  8. NeoConDon says:

I believe in the innate goodness of people, Dan. The love of his life has just died, and he hasn’t seen his daughter in years, so it makes sense that he wouldn’t recognize her…hint: she’s not that famous! I think it’s fair to give him the benefit of the doubt here. If you want to take on the Mike N (lying linear libby) and Zig, holier than thou liberal elitist attitude, you’re free to do that..but you’ll come across as ignorant if you do.

  9. Extreme John says:

Holy crap I was waiting for a punch line that would make this end as a bad joke, what a friggin loser.

  10. You’ve got to be kidding me. Unlike CC, I don’t find Tatum to be that good looking but I have heard the name, I know shes a celeb and you would assume that he’s heard of her and knows who she is…Oh wait…he’s her FATHER.

And seriously, hitting on someone at your lovers funeral is sickening. Sedated or not, its gross and wrong. Given that excuse, “I was sedated” is like going out to a bar/club getting drunk cheating on your spouse and then being like, “Oh honey I don’t know what I was doing, I was drunk! You can’t expect me to be of sound mind when I’m drunk.”

Excuses are like assholes, everyone has one!

  11. Sugar says:

NCD,still, why would you try to hit on someone at the “love of your life’s” funeral?

  12. Anonymous says:

NCD, are you for real? I agree with Jenny. La, la, la (oh, sorry, that was NCD living in his make-believe world). And of course it is now a “liberal elitist attitude” thing. I love this blog! And Ryan O’Neal is a bozo.

  13. Timmy says:

Woody Allen is unimpressed by this story

  14. Hey, it worked for Will Ferrell in Wedding Crashers!

  15. Timmy says:

At least we could have closed the deal!

    West Virginia, Kentucky, and Tenneessee

  16. C. Princess says:

I was watching The Wendy Williams Show earlier today and that was one of the hot topics!

  17. I agree with Jenny Georgio-who.

  18. I heard this on the tv as well. Not sure if he was joking about the whole thing or if he truly was hitting on her. Either way, it’s very seedy. Grief does strange things to people but that’s over the top.

  19. Hold up…why was he hitting on ANYONE at his wife’s funeral if he recognized them or not?!? Dude has issues, but we all knew that, right?
