Cell Phone Shots – DC Style

I was in Washington, DC for part of last week attending a conference. While I was there, I took a number of pictures. And as always; several are worthy of posting here.
Basketball Senate Guy – I took this picture in one of the Senate buildings. I was on the other side of the floor, so unfortunately I don’t know which Senator he worked for. This guy had both a computer monitor and a television on his desk. Which one was he watching? He was watching the NCAA college basketball tournament on TV. LOL. You can insert your own joke about employees not working here…
Elevator of Power – Before visiting the Senate, I actually wondered how Senators walked around without lobbyists or anyone from the public bothering them. Now you know. This is a pretty cool perk if you ask me.
Sign Guy – No matter how you feel about the health care legislation, it was a fascinating time to be in Washington because both sides were buzzing. This guy was picketing out in front of the Capital. Of course, some people gave him a hard time, but nothing out of the ordinary. I just thought it was a great photo opportunity.
Greek Goddess – Anyone who reads The Constant Complainer knows that I like to cite articles from The Huffington Post – particularly from their entertainment section. And I’ve always wanted to meet Arianna Huffington. Well, she spoke at one of our meetings, but unfortunately a picture was the best I could do.
So enjoy the pictures and let’s keep it non-political. P.S. We’re rapidly approaching 5,000 comments, so I plan on doing a contest as we get a little closer. Be on the lookout for that…

I am not surprised about the guy watching the tournament. I know of several places that had people watching the games online. In my office they had a meeting in the conference room with the big screen, and they had the TV on mute. As you may have guessed they got a lot accomplished that meeting.

Love the “Kill Bill” guy! Wonder how the cell phone guy is doing with his brackets and if he wins, will he claim it as income on his taxes?
My favorite is the elevator one. It sounds so definite and determined “at all times”…
A number of my buddies go MIA when the NCAA Tournament starts. I just try to put in for vacation time if I can.
